Our Beliefs
God Inspired Scripture
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for proofing, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; so that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly suited for all good works.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
God Created the Heavens and the Earth
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:1
For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; then rested on the seventh day; therefore, the Lord blessed the sabbath day and made it holy.
Exodus 20:11
God is our Heavenly Father
Then God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Genesis 1:27
[God] created from one blood all nations of men to dwell over the face of all the earth, and determined the set times and the boundaries for their habitation; so they could seek the Lord, if perhaps they might reach out to him and find him, though he is not far from anyone of us. For in him we live and move and have our being; for even some of your own poets have said, “For we are also his offspring.”
Acts 17:26-28
And [Jesus] said to them, “When you pray, say, ‘Our Father in heaven, holy is your name. Your kingdom come and your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven…’”
Luke 11:2
[There is] One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in all of you.
Ephesians 4:6
Sin Brought Death to Mankind
And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but as for the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat from it: for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.
Genesis 2:16-17
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all mankind, upon all who sin.
Romans 5:12
Sin Separates Us From God
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither is his ear hardened, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
Isaiah 59:2
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23
But everyone is tempted when they are drawn away by their own lust and enticed.
Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin; and sin, when it is completed, brings forth death.
James 1:14-15
The Gospel of God
And the angel said to them, “Fear not. For, behold, I bring you good news of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
Luke 2:10-11
… Jesus came into Galilee preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God and saying, “The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the gospel.”
Mark 1:14-15
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world, in testimony to all nations; and then the end shall come.
Matthew 24:14
Now I declare to you, brothers and sisters, the Gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you also stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold firmly the word which I preached to you; otherwise, you have believed in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:1-2
In this way was the love of God for us revealed, in that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the atonement for our sins.
1 John 4:9-10
Jesus
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16
But God revealed his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, upon all who sin.
Romans 5:8-12
Now, Christ is risen from the dead and has become the first fruits of those that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, now likewise in Christ all shall be made alive.
1 Corinthians 15:20-22
And he is the atonement for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 John 2:2
We believe that God is revealed to us, today, by the scriptures which are found in the Bible. The scriptures are the inspired words of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
- We believe God is the Creator of Heaven and Earth. (Genesis 1:1, Exodus 20:11)
- We believe God created mankind in His own image, and He is our Heavenly Father. (Genesis 1:27, Acts 17:26-28, Luke 11:2, Ephesians 4:6)
- We believe Mankind became subjected to death after sin entered the world through the first man, Adam. (Genesis 2:16-17, Romans 5:12)
- We believe that our sin separates us from God and bares the consequence of death. (Isaiah 59:2, Romans 3:23, James 1:14-15)
- We believe in the gospel, the good news, of God. This great message tells us that God sent his only begotten Son, Jesus, into the world as an atonement for our sins and to save all of mankind from death. (Luke 2:10-11 , Mark 1:14-15, Matthew 24:14, 1 Corinthians 15:1-2, 1 John 4:9-10)
- We believe that God allowed for Jesus to be a sacrifice, through death on a cross; as the atonement for all of our sins. (John 3:16; Romans 5:8-12, 1 Corinthians 15:21-22, 1 John 2:2)
- We believe Jesus calls for people of all nations to become his disciples, followers of his teachings, in order to unite with him and be saved. For us to unite with Jesus, he has instructed us to repent and be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:38-42)
- We believe that when a person repents and is baptized:
- They spiritually participate in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus; and are born again. (John 3:3-5, Romans 6:3-4)
- They have their sins washed away and receive forgiveness of sins. (Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16. Titus 3:5-7)
- They are redeemed as children of God and made part of God’s family. (Galatians 3:26-27)
- They clothe themselves with Christ; and spiritually live in Christ. (Galatians 3:26-27)
- They are sanctified, made into saints, by the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 1:2, 1 Corinthians 6:11)
- They become members of the church. (Acts 2:36-47, 1 Corinthians 12:13)
- We believe Jesus established his church and calls us to be devoted to the fellowship of the church. (Matthew 16:18, Hebrews 3:13-14)
- The church is the spiritual body of Christ and Jesus is the head of the church. (Ephesians 1:22-23, Colossians 1:18-19)
- The church is the household of God and a spiritual dwelling where God lives by his spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22)
- We believe that Jesus established the church to:
- Praise and give thanks to God.
(Ephesians 3:21, Colossians 3:15-17)
- Love and care for one another.
(John 13:34-35, 1 Corinthians 12:25 )
- Spread the Gospel of God (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15)
- Build each other up in the faith and in spiritual maturity.
(Ephesians 4:11-12)
- We believe that Jesus rose from death and has ascended back into heaven; with our Heavenly Father God. Jesus has gone to prepare a place for those who have followed his teachings, to live eternally.
(John 14:1-3, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Titus 2:11-13, Revelation 21:1-7)
- We believe that God deserves all glory, honor and thanks, through Christ Jesus His Son forevermore.
